Crash Outcome Analysis: Using NASS Data in Research

This one-day, interactive, hands-on training course is designed to show researchers how to use National Automotive Sampling System (NASS) Crashworthiness Data System (CDS) data to answer research questions about motor vehicle crashes and injuries. Topics include:

Specific focus is given to data improvements and upgrades made in collection year 2002. Researchers will become familiar with these data systems and the appropriate statistical methods required to analyze them. During this workshop, participants will learn :

Computers preloaded with NASS data and SAS software will be provided and will allow participants to follow standard queries from the instructors to develop their own queries for troubleshooting.
