Resource and Outreach Subcommittee
GOAL
The purpose of the Resource and Outreach Subcommittee is to build partnerships with other federal agencies and organizations outside of DOT and to assist State TRCC's by providing the necessary resources that will assist them in achieving their goals.
OBJECTIVES
Website:
The U.S. DOT TRCC website (www.dottrcc.gov) will become the "one stop shopping" arena that will provide states the opportunity to obtain information on the current trends and successes raised at the state and federal level.
- Other information that will be available on the site:
- Training resources
- Funding resources
- Shared experiences (best practices)
- A SharePoint access that will provide the opportunity for states, regions/divisions and headquarter personnel to communicate with one another while providing the DOT TRCC the insight on the current requirements needed at state and local levels.
- Subcommittee activities and updates
- Events that support data collection at the National/regional/divisional level
- Supporting publications and presentations
Outreach:
- Explore new partnerships with affiliated organizations and other federal agencies.
- DOJ, DHS, CDC, WHO, ATSIP, AAMVA, IACP etc.
- Develop an educational presentation on the importance of a traffic records information systems and what it means to an organization.
- Coordinate DOT outreach activities.
- Market the website and Traffic Records Forum
- Coordinate and work with the ATSIP in meeting the technical requests identified by the States, Regions and Division offices
Conference Outreach:
- Will coordinate the federal participation in Traffic Records Forum in order to ensure that the subject matter isn't duplicated but compliments each other.
- Will develop a set of policy level workshop to present at the Forum.
- Will develop a Reauthorization session which would be a good plenary session.
- Will assist in contacting State DOT/Divisional and Regional authorities for support and participation in the Forum.
- Will assist in obtaining and/or evaluating presentation, best practice submissions and speakers.
